The focus of Greg’s practice has been Intellectual Property litigation involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, and related rights.

Greg also served for 6 years as a member of the committee responsible for certifying members of the Law Society of Ontario as specialists in the practice of intellectual property law. 

Greg has lectured on intellectual property law in Canada, the United States, China, Brazil, and Ukraine and is the author of the chapter on Alternative Dispute Resolution in Intellectual Property Disputes: Resolutions and Remedies by Carswell. Greg also taught the Patent Law course at the Faculty of Law, Queen’s University, for three years.

Representative Work

Greg’s litigation practice has included cases involving a wide range of technologies, trademarks and copyrights.  In addition, for over 35 years, he has represented major league sports and individual teams in Copyright Board hearings related to the carriage of sports broadcasts on distant television signals retransmitted by satellite and cable, and to the use of recorded music at sporting events.
